James Thomas Turner Sr. (1933 - 2001) a celebrated Denver, Colorado born sculptor who specialized in highly expressive, realist western subject bronze sculptures. Turner was renowned for capturing raw cowboy life, and his dark, heavily textured bronze works earned permanent spots in prestigious collections, including those of John Wayne, the Richard Nixon White House, and Coors Brewery.
Prime example of Turner's work, this bronze shows a Cowboy in traditional Western-ware holding a saddle.
