Beautiful hand carved stone head of an Indian deity, potentially depicting one of the principal Hindu gods Shiva or Brahma. This figure is adorned with a precisely carved tall hairstyle or headdress known as Jaṭāmukuṭa, in which hair is piled and twisted atop the head into a conical crown form, sometimes featuring additional ornamentation.
The head is mounted on a 5"x5" black stand, though it can be removed and is freestanding without it.
